Recognising an increased demand for commercial and 4x4 vehicle hire in the South, SHB Hire Limited was launched in 1968. Over 30 years later and operating on a national level, the SHB Group are now specialists in 4x4 vehicles, owning Europe's largest 4x4 hire fleet. We have also broadened our range to include a wide variety of commercial heavy duty vehicles that can be customised to suit your needs.

Our Nationwide network of outlets offers an extensive choice of vehicles from Quad bikes through to 32 Tonne trucks, with agricultural tractors and equipment supplied by Forest Tractors and Luxury 4x4 vehicles from our Executive Hire division.

The success of the business is based on a strong customer service focus as well as a large fleet that can be mobilised quickly in response to sudden requests. We pride ourselves on tailoring our services to suit your situation, delivering promptly on short term requests as well as long term contract hire.

Flexible hire packages, variable contract lengths and customised vehicles are standard options and our customer services team will be able to advise you on the most appropriate deal for you.

We also offer after-care services through our dedicated mobile engineers who are only a phone call away and ready to travel to you for on-site repairs (see service page for more details). Our spare parts stock is used for hire vehicles but can also be supplied on an ad hoc basis for 4x4 owners
